Here is a link for an Excel file with R-SRY2627+ haplotypes. For those not familiar with this group, it splits in 2 subgroups with DYS490=10 (a rare value) and DYS490=12. Until now about equal numbers of both types were found.
Lane 74 Dawkins is colored in pale blue because this kit was not tested for SRY2627 but Dawkins lane 102 was and they are obviously geneticaly close. Same story for Baker lane 15 .. There are a number of unusual values in this group like for Dawkins DYS388=15 . There are 2 known cases of DYS454=12 and I suspect that many among those with this rare value in ysearch belong to this group .http://sd-1.archive-host.com/membres/up/90261920431217746/R1B1C6_08_140.xls
Analyzing further, one can notice that there are several instances of DYS392=14 . Let's look at those 3 identified as belonging also to the DYS490=12 group. They are as different as they can be (even if Bell and Bailey could have suggested a distant link). I would say that these 3 DYS392=14 events are independent and not indicative of any link (besides SRY2627+). Surprising.
