Georg Christoff Oechslen - 1727

Georg Christoff Oechslen arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 2, 1727, with a travel group of Germans who were termed "Palatines."  He came on the ship Adventure, Capt. John Davis.  Oechslen is one of the spelling variations for the German surname Oechsle that became Exley or Oxley in America.  Christoff Oechslen may be the first Exley or Oxley in America.  Does anyone have information regarding this German immigrant?  Are there any descendants of Georg Christoff Oechslen still living?

A recent message came to me from a member of the Axline family.  Information shared is that Georg Christoff Oechslen's descendants have the surnames Axline and Exline.  There are today many descendants with these two surnames.  The family also has a web site: www.Axlines.org .  The lineage of Georg Christoff Oechslen is presented on the genealogy page of the site.  Axlines and Exlines are invited to participate in the Exley DNA Project as it appears that Axlines, Exlines and Exleys of German origins share the same surname in earlier times.
