We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for the NC 1700's Project Patriarch page.  (You don’t have to be a test participant to post your family pedigree.)

By posting your pedigree on the forum, you are making it available for the Project Administrator to

    * Post it on the project's Patriarch Page, where he/she will arrange the pedigrees chronologically, linking families whenever possible.
    * Post your contact information if you choose to make it available (with the @ changed to AT to discourage spammers.
    * Post your Code Identity Number for the Project (if you have been tested) with your pedigree on the Patriarch Page, to facilitate correlating test results and pedigrees . (Please post it with your pedigree to make sure your Project Administrator is able to include it in the posting.)
    * Link your pedigree on the Patriarch Page back to your complete posting on the Pedigree Forum.

Suggestions for Posting your Pedigree:

    Please Do:       Post four pieces of information for each ancestor:
                           Name, birth date, birth place, spouse
                           Missing any of the above? Add other identifying information.
                     Begin with the earliest generation
                     Use standard abbreviations 
                                (m = married, b = birth date, d = death date, c1930 =   circa (around) 1930, Co = County,
                                VA =  Virginia (GA for Georgia, CA for California, etc.)
                     Keep to one line per generation.
                     Include only generations that have this family surname
                     Provide your name and email address (you may have done this when you registered to post)
                     Be consistent.  Either use the surname for each generation of your pedigree, or omit it for all.

    Please Don't:    Put the surname first
                     Use all caps for the surname
                     List anyone whose birthdate is after 1910 (for privacy concerns)
                     Use numbers for the generations
                     Try to "format" your posting, as that only makes it more difficult for the Project Administrator to paste it onto the Patriarch Page.

We encourage everyone who tests to also post his pedigree, even if you don't have very much information,so that participants can compare pedigrees as well as test results.  Some interested researcher may see it and contact you.

We use a "stripped-down" version of the pedigree for surname yDNA projects, as the interest is in finding the direct line of males back to the earliest known ancestor for each project participant.  Generally, four pieces of information is sufficient to recognize an ancestor (his name, birth date, birth place and wife’s name).

You can choose to post your pedigree in one of two forms for the Pedigree Forum:

it's strongly believed that Cynthia had the twin gene, she had twin sons, and  her daughter Mary also had twin sons. after that, we don't know if the gene remained dominant. it appears that Mary's only daughter's children did not survive to maturity. I believe that it isn't passed from mother to son...

it is possible that this may be their marriage record
