There is a new MacLennan Y-DNA surname Project at FTDNA. So far, they have one test subject, and he is not even close to matching our McClendon/McLendon Y-DNA:

For now, our Y-DNA test results show that we McClendons are our own distinct clan. We are not descended from any MacLennans/McLennans/McClennans.
If our McClendons/McLendons turn up matching large numbers of very well documented MacLennan/McLennan/McClennan test subjects, we will revisit this question.
