John Cook b. 1824 Tennessee

John Cook appears in Greene Co Ark on 1850 census, married to Melvina, has daughter Malinda. John served in Civil War from the state of Arkansas.  After being discharged with a medical conditon, he returns home to Greene/Craighead county in Ark.  By 1870 John is found in McDonald Co Mo, with a new wife, and several children born in Arkansas, homesteaded land in 1874 McDonald Co and raised a large family in McDonald Co.  John is buried in Owlsley/Union Cemetery, McDonald Co where he died in 1911. He had a brother Samuel W Cook who followed John from Arkansas to Missouri, along with his large family.
  John Cook was my husbands ggrandfather, and am anxiously awaiting DNA results for this line.
