[*Note: The above John Curran was Capt. John Curran, Captain of the Schooner 'Havana'. Capt. John Curran, b. 29 Jun 1854 in Ballyhalbert, and his cousin, Joseph Clint, b. 1857 in Portavogie, drowned in the shipwreck and sinking of the 'Havana' off the shores of St. Berrien, Michigan in Oct 1887. Also drowned was the cook, John Morse. Rescued was First Mate Samuel McClemant, Charles Hagen, George Hughes, and Robert H. McCormick.
