Hi, I recently took a mtDNA  test and am confused by the results..As I have read here I am not alone.( makes me feel better!) I understand the group K but not the rest..
Now I have K (haplogroup) and K2a2a and K2a and K2b in my hvr1 matches..
In the hvr2 matches the same plus K1a4a1,K1c1,K1c1b..Can someone help explain the results?
I had one surprise about results..I knew we were English & maybe Irish  but not Lithuanian..
And I have read that the Ashkenazi distribution shows up but often times desn't mean anything..I have 61 hvr2 matches in that area.would that it would be useful to investigate that any further?
Thanks for any & all info.

You should consider joining Haplogroup K project:

The mtDNA page is at:
