[Note: Joseph Clint, b. 1857 in Portavogie, d. Oct 1887. Joseph drowned in the wreck of the 'Havana', a 306 ton, two masted schooner, in Lake Michigan, outside the harbour of St. Joseph, Berrian, Michigan. The crew consisted of Capt. John Curran, b. 29 Jun 1854 in Ballyhalbert (cousin of Josph Clint), First Mate Samuel McClement, Joseph Clint, George Hughes, Robert H. McCormick, who were all living in Chicago, plus a cook, John Morse. Joseph Clint, Capt. John Curran, and the cook, John Morse, drowned. A full account of the shipwreck can be found in the book, "Lost on the Lakes: Shipwrecks of Berrien County, Michigan," by Robert C. Myers.
