The Gunn themselves claim descent from the legendary Sweyn Asleifsson, the so-called 'Ultimate Viking', the progenitor of the clan, and through his grandson Gunni, considered to be the "namefather" of Clan Gunn. GUNNR 'OLD NORSE' meaning "WAR" & "BATTLE".... Welsh origin "gwaen". DYS 492=13 may indicated Haplotype may belong to the R1b1c9 Haplogroup.

If you match above haplotype there is a strong possibility you might be in the R1b1c9 HG and origins could be in Sweden or Wales.
