Hi,

I believed I was mainly Greek and Macedonian Slav.   I got beack my mitochondrial DNA test and discovered the following:

I am U5a1a and have the following mutations:

16192T 16256T 16270T 16399G

Could this be explained by my being of descended from the oldest humans in the Balkans. (Ursula was allegedly born in the Mountains of Greece)  I.e.  Did the original migration of U5a1a come from Africa and the Middle East and my ancestors stayed in the Balkans whereas other people in my tribe went to Northern Europe?

There were Norman invasions of the Balkans circa 1000 BC.  Could I be descended from some of those people?

Were my ancestors back migrating after living in North Western Europe for eons?

Any suggestions would be most helpful!!

I think that you could have a germanic ancestor. Ostrogoth or Visigoth.

I've seen that from 8th century, greek people from Sicily returned in Greece. But in Sicily there were Ostrogoths and Visigoths ...

Nothing surprising.
