I am searching for the next or continuing ancestors of my 4th great grandfather, John R. Thompson. He was born in about 1800 in Mispillion Hundred, Milford, Kent County, Delaware. He was a drummer boy in 1814 during the war of 1812. In 1820 he was in Maryland, married Sarah Ann Morgan in Maryland in 1821. In the early 1830's had moved to the area of Marietta, Washington Co., Ohio. By 1850 he was living in Aurora, Dearborn Co., Indiana with his son Josiah. He died on 26 Dec. 1884 in Aurora, Dearborn Co., Indiana. So far I have checked out the Thompsons listed 1) in the 1800 US Census in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co, Delaware 2) on ancestry.com 3) genealogy.com 4) LDS 5) Delaware Genweb, all with no luck.
Please, help me get through this seemingly dead end if you can. Any help, or leads would be greatly appreciated.
