Seeking descendants of Edmund to share family info. My collected info (not supported by documentation at this stage) has Edmund as a Lieutenant in Revolutionary War, marrying Lucy c1774 in Northampton Co NC and dying before Feb 1815 in Randolph Co NC. I also have a family tree that was hand copied in 1930 from one started in 1843.
Lucy Birdsong Waddell is reported to have operated a summer Alston House (hotel for rich friends from back east) at Prospect Hill, Greenville SC after Edmund's death.
I have not yet located a male Waddell from my Waddell family and will gladly pay a portion of the dna test of a documented member of my family.
My line includes (handwritten family tree includes all of these names - but not all of the dates):
Edmund Waddell (c1748-bef1815) m Lucy Birdsong
Thomas Waddell (c1770-1843) m Eleanor Montgomery (have picture of Eleanor)
James Madison Waddell (1814- ) m Emily Awonderville Martin
John Birdsong Waddell (1840-1915) m Mary Alice Woodward
plus two more generations (daughtered out)
