Elizabeth Carson (1811-1863) born in Mississippi, died in Bell County, Texas, married Joshua Joseph Parker in Leake County, Ms.  Elizabeth "Betsy" Carson Parker  is my 3rd Great Grandmother.
I believe that John Pinkney Carson is the son of my grgrgr Elizabeth's half-brother Thomas Pinkney Carson and his wife Martha A.E. Allison. He had many siblings besides Amanda and Joseph... Elizabeth and Thomas's father was John Carson, b SC 1786- d TX 1874/75.
You have alot of relatives and family history in Texas!
I hope I can not only learn more about my Carson family here with you all but somehow, someone can shed some light on the Parker connection that seems to run through a few Carson lines and generations.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Well, we have an exact match to one of our other Carsons!  Yea!!

Melinorasdell, do you have a male Carson who would be willing to test?  We could see if there is a relationship.  Do you have a descendancy you want to post?  You could start another thread on John, perhaps we can find a link.

This Carson lineage is R1b1, Western European.  It does not connect with the I2b1 lines for many thousands of years back.

C-13 and C-23 are 36/37 matches and their common ancestor could be just a couple hundred years back, though the paper trail has not yet confirmed who it is.

C-14 is a 33/37 match so their common ancestor could be within a thousand years, but the paper trail has not yet confirmed who it is and likely never will.

Further speculation on Haplogroup R - Lineage I should go here:
