Hi,
Trying to find out who Phillip Church's family was in New York. He first appeared in Brant Co Ontario Canada in 1827. He married Mary Johnson about 1828. MARRIAGE: marriage Records at the Mohawk Chapel 1827-1877, publication #189, Ontario Genealogical Society, Brant County Branch, Brantford.  We do not know who Mary Johnson's family is either, but she was born and raised in Brant County.  Sent in the DNA test to help in identification this week. Philip and Mary had Children:

Laura 1827,
Pamelia married Lewis H. Estelle 3 Jul 1851,
Ransalar 1832 died 7 Nov 1867 Oxford Co, Ontario, Canada
Seth died 1899 married 20 Feb 1867 Harriett Harrison
Charles 1834-1900, married Emily I. Harrison abt 1856
Mary 1836,
Alanson 1839-1889 married Agness Bailey,
Norman 1842, married 16 Mar 1870 Oxford Co Ontario Jane Clark

John H. Church born 25 Sep 1848 Oswego, NY, died 12 Apr 1903, Charlotte, Eaton Co, Michigan, married Burford Twp, Brant, Ontario, Canada 5 Oct 1870 to Malvina Carney (John worked on the Railroad) This is my husband's great grandfather! He worked on the railroad as an engineer and they went back and forth between Charlotte Michigan and Brant/Oxford County Ontario with the railroad.

William H., 1846
George, 1857

Does anyone know anything about this family.  We are hoping that the DNA study might help us know which Church family Phillip is from.  Would also like info on Mary Johnson of Brant Co, Ontario.

Thank you for any help you might give.
Miles and Irene Church

I went ahead and posted your family tree on our pedigree forum.  All pedigrees posted on that page will be transfered to the official surname project website, so that other researchers may find you and contact you:
http://www.wfnforum.net/index.php?topic=2293.0

If you want to see the pedigrees and results of other researchers, please go to the official project website.  You may find other researchers already working on the same family lines that you are:
http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/c/church

Also, here is a direct link if you want to go ahead and order a DNA test.  Keep in mind that even folks that are not direct paternal/maternal decendants of this line can still get tested.  To do so, find a relative who IS a direct decendant and sponsor their test for them.  We provide comparison for test results for our project members on our surname websites, and you can use FamilyTreeDNA or Y-search to do a global comparison match (over 1/2 million DNA tests for genealogy have been conducted so far):

And, if you want more information, there is a lot at the WorldFamilies.net website.  I recommend starting at our Frequently Asked Questions page:
