Hello, I am puzzled, because my grandmother´s grandmother´s mother´s mtDNA matched only with two ancients in Naples, Italy.
Is it reliable, because my grandmother chain has lived in the northern part of Central Finland at least since the year 1750?

No other complete matches in Finland, Sweden or elsewhere.

My mt-haplogroup W is rare. I have found so far only three in Finland.

My analysis gave: 223T, 234T, 292T, 519C.

Is it possible that my mother chain has no connections to Naples, Italy, but has developed independently into same mutations?

Regards from Central Finland

Hi Lauri.  I can't help you with this - but there is a mtDNA project for haplogroup W.  You'll want to consider joining.
