My great grandfather was James Jacobs, born in Virginia c 1775. His second wife was Named Frances. James was in Union District, SC in 1800 and emigrated to unknown County in Tennessee c 1820. James was in Jackson Co., GA by 1830 Census, Fayette Co., GA by 1840 where he resided until his death in 1869. Children were: Morris, William B., John A., Anderson, Charles, Nathan, Thompson D., Tillman Hollie and Elizabeth Ann. I am looking for anyone with the Jacobs surname or variants who have Undergone Y-DNA analysis for comparison. After 1820 my JACOBS families had departed South Carolina and moved to Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas. My Haplogroup has been identified as I (eye) and I1a (eye-one-a) depending on the testing entity.
