Since using DNA testing for genealogy is such a new frontier, many genealogists seek books or other sources to help them understand how DNA testing is used, what the results mean, and how to best utilize a match to further their knowledge of their family tree.? One of the books we highly recommend is Trace Your Roots with DNA
by Megan Smolenyak and Ann Turner.? This is book is "an excellent overview of the history, early pioneers, and the many aspects of the new field of Genetic Genealogy. This book is well written and includes clear instructions of how-to-do-it and many real world examples of how to use DNA testing to aide traditional genealogical research. A great first book for the beginner to read. But intermediate and advanced readers will find interesting tidbits and ideas in this book too.??
