    moved to Lawrence Co., MO.  Court records of land dealings give the
                 time  frame using  the dates the Wolf land was bought and sold.
1830 - Jacob Wolf listed as 90 years old and oldest man in AR for 1830 census.  
1830 - 1831 - Jacob Wolf died and is buried in Wolf Cemetery near Norfork, AR

        Capt. Peter Hedrick.  Bought land from Capt. Peter Hedrick.
        Established in Blacksmith business with father his father Jacob.   
1790 - Michael Wolf w/family for census Rowan Co., NC
1803 - Received land grant on Deer Creek, a branch of Green River,
         in present day Christian County, KY.
1800 -1820 - Appeared in Court Records as executor on a number of wills.
1812 - Served as Captain of his own Company in Caldwell’s Regiment
    of Mounted Militia.
1820 - He and all members of his family except daughter, Margaret, moved
    to Arkansas Territory as son, Jacob, had been appointed Indian Agent.
   1820 -1830 - Managed the family farming operation on White River
   1831 - died and buried in Wolf Cemetery near Norfork, AR

1786 - Jacob Wolf, son of Michael and Mary Magdalena Catharina Hedrick Wolf
    was born on 12 May in NC.
1809 - Jacob m. Mildred/Maldred Merridith in Hopkins County, KY by Rev John
    Bourland.  They had five children before she died in 1823.
1810 - Jacob appointed Indian Agent and began making trips to AR territory
1827-29 - Jacob Wolf built the structure that is now known as the Wolf House
    in Norfork, AR.  He was blacksmith, postmaster, farmer, and merchant.
    He served ten years in the Arkansas Territorial Council, was a Baptist
    Deacon and commissioned as Major in the Arkansas Territorial Militia.
    Structure placed on national historical list as oldest public building in
    Arkansas, also renovated and land excavated for artifacts - 2003.
1823 - Jacob Wolf m. Elizabeth Lantz Sanders.  Had ten children, d. 1846.
1848 - Jacob Wolf m. Cynthia Hardin Shipp.  They had a son, d. 3 years old.
1863 - Major Jacob Wolf was taken into custody by Union Army at his
   establishment when they took over  the occupancy of the place.
   He reportedly was held a few days but  nothing else is know
    about him.  His death listed as 1 Jan 1863 and it is assumed that
   he is buried in the Wolf Cemetery under secret war conditions.

   his father and Michael his brother in KY.
1819 - Court records show him selling his holding in KY but already living in
   Lawrence Co. MO.  Absolutely nothing else known about him.

I do not know how to post my Wolf ancestor. My ancestor is a female, Elizabeth J. Wolf.
She is the earliest ancestor in this line. We were trying to prove or disprove her American Indian heritage. I think she is not Indian she is Haplogroup H. Maybe you can make me understand this better.

The person who tested is my cousin Janet Gray Neihoff birth 1942. Spouse Francis Leon Neihoff born 1935.

Janet's mother is Ola Balkey Gray born 1900 died 1976. Spouse is Thurman Gray born 1900 died 1973.

Ola's mother is Susan Isabel Smothers Balkey born 1870 died 1956.. Spouse is Frank Balkey born 1867 died 1952.
