If you are new to DNA testing and its uses for genealogical research, please feel free to ask questions. We would like any male who carried the Pugh surname or a variant to join our project. The more participants we have the more information we can learn about our Pugh origins and the many branches of the family in the world today. The test is painless, it requires only a cheek swabbing. The results take about 6 weeks. The cost for a 12 marker test is about $100.

It you are female, you can get a brother, uncle, or male cousin to take the test. One idea is to ask a group of family members to contribute to a 37 marker test which will give more helpful information by narrowing down the possibility of matches.

Even if you do not want to test at this time, join our discussion group at Tracing Pugh Origins at Yahoo Groups

Best wishes,
