Hello, I'm researching my wife/son's mtDNA line, FTDNA test kit # 96357. They are haplogroup T2. Here are their mtDNA results: HVR1: 16126C,16294T,16304C,16519C and HVR2: 73G,263G,309.1C,315.1C. Their earliest know Shepherd ancestor was John Shepherd (m. Lucretia?) who lived in Mass/Maine c. 1780-1820?, thru their daughter Mary Shepherd b.1818 Maine d. 1882 Sandwich, MA m. Isaac Robbins b. 1815 Brewer, MA d. after 1879 Sandwich, MA etc.... I would enjoy hearing from anyone with info on this line. There is one HVR1 mtDNA and haplogroup (T2) match on the Shepherd surname site through familytreedna.com but I can't figure out how to contact that person (kit # N29073) without sending out about 300 messages to their HVR1 matches.
