The lack of a surname for females (we use name of father & husband) makes tracing a maternal line difficult. Perhaps using info from pedigrees of mtDNA mutation matches can help.  If your mutations match the following, please post your maternal pedigree.

I have all of those EXCEPT the 185A.

My lineage goes back to Jane Wilcox, born December 23, 1810 in Cheltenham, England.

I have very few 100% matches...all because of the 185A.  Don't know what that would signify.

Hi Jean...
I'm a match... I think!  The company used was familytreedna.

HVR1
16069T  16126C 16145A 16172C
16222T 16261T
HVR2 differences from CRS
73G 185A 242T 263G
295T 315.1C 462T 489C

In looking at your maternal lines there do seem to be some similarities.  Several folks are working on lines from Georgia and Florida that date back to the early 1800's.  We believe that these ancestors were in North or South Carolina prior to the migration to Georgia.  My maternal ties don't date back that far but there are Lowe's/Loes in close proximity during the migration.  Also, of note may be the Surname Spivey.  Here goes on my lineage ...

me... Debbi Devereaux Edmondson (b Tx 1953)
mother... Bonnie Laurie Simpson (b Ok 1929)
grandmother... Lauree Elizabeth Tanco (b Tx 1903)
great grandmother... Delilah Elizabeth Simmons (b Florida 1872)
great great grandmother... Martha Jenkins (b Florida?/Georgia? 1840)
great great great grandmother... Nancy N Ford-Maybe? (b Georgia 1811-1815)
great great great great grandmother... Nancy Graham-Maybe? (b ????)

I would love to know what you think and if you've stumbled across any of these names before!!!

Thanks,
Deb---

You are definitely a match, Deb.  Do you know the names of any of Nancy Ford and Nancy Graham's sisters?
