We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for this Surname.   Our Surname Project is primarily interested in your Paternal line, as surnames are passed down from father to son, just as the yDNA is passed down.

If you ARE A MEMBER of this Surname Project at Family Tree DNA, send your pedigree by email to WorldFamilies.net at mari@worldfamilies.net.  The pedigree will then be posted on the Surname Project's Patriarchs Page by Worldfamilies.net or sent to the Project’s Administrator.

Please include the following:
•       Name of project
•       Kit Number
•       Name of person posting pedigree
•       Email address to be posted with pedigree
•       Name, birthdate, birthplace, spouse of Earliest Known Ancestor
•       List each succeeding generation, using only those four items of information (or substitute another item of information if missing an item)

(If you have more information you would like to share, you may also post a more extended version of your family pedigree on the project website’s Pedigree Forum below)

If you are NOT A MEMBER of this Surname Project at Family Tree DNA, you are welcome to post your pedigree on the Pedigree Forum below.  We hope an interested researcher will see it and contact you to share information.

My Great grandfather (Jacob Henry duPont was suppose to of came here from from France at the age of seven. The family settled in Delaware. His step brother and him ran away around the age of 13 or 14. The story is picked up in Kiowa, OK.It is said that he would have nothing to do with his family in Delaware, as he did not like his stepmother. He did work for the KATY Line RR. which I have found out that the duPont Co. had interest in. He was a section foreman. I have a copy of the deed to his property in Kiowa, OK. In later years he worked for Phelps Dodge Coal mine in Dawson, NM.. He worked in the lamp house #1. He died in the hospital at Dawson, 2/24/1922, he is buried in the Dawson cemetery, which is about all that is left of the town of Dawson.

Hi, DuPont.  Thank you for your interest in this project.  If you have any specific information regarding your pedigree, such as birth dates and locations, we will be able to post it to the patriarch page.  Thanks and good luck with your research!

My family claims to be related to the DuPont family. Of which one I do not know, I was hoping that I could get some help in that area. I have talked with many of the older generation in my family and they have all said that my great great grandmother was a DuPont. Her name was Edna Dorothy DuPont, born sometime in 1896 in New York. I have tried to find as much information on her that I can, but haven't been so lucky. I was hoping that here I could maybe find more on her and the rest of the family. Please if anyone has more information, I would love to share it with the rest of my family.
