I am researching my Ggrandmother's family. Her maiden name was Rankin(Maude Estelle) b.1878 and she married Barney Monroe Wollard b. 1872. They lived in Gatesville Texas, and were married 3 OCT 1895 in Washington Co. Tx. Any help is most appreciated.

The much disputed DNA from the David Rankin descendants of Greene County Tennessee has revealed itself to be very interesting. After researching the sequence itself among other families, I found the sequence nearly identical to that of the descendants of Alexander Campbell of Argyll circa 1668.  This doesn't explain a couple of things.
David did marry Ann Campbell after a short marriage to Margaret Kerr of Augusta County, PA. My questions relate to the first three brothers that supposedly settled in Cumberland County, PA. Are we sure they were brothers and not maternal cousins?
Why did John arrive so much later than Adam and Hugh? I would like to know if any male descendants of other Adam branches have been tested..Please comment.

George Rankin who died in 1847 in Kildare Town, County Kildare, Ireland was married to Anne Jesop. Anne died in 1837 at the age of 36. They are both buried in the graveyard adjoining St. Brigid's Cathedral in Kildare Town.

Their son George Rankin born c1823 married Mary Toole (born 1836) in 1862 in Kildare Town.

Their daughter Brigid Rankin who was born in 1872 married Peter Belford (born 1876) in 1899 in Kildare Town.
