We have reason to believe that our Thompsons descend from William Thompson b. 5 Apr 1635 Scotland m.Martha Mosely and had these children in VA:  William b. 1690, m. Mary Clifton, Samuel b. 31 Dec 1691, Katherine b. 1708 m. King, Hannay b. 1710, John b. 1712
If anyone has this line of Thompsons we would like to see if you would be interested in being in the DNA study. 
We could find out if we actually do link to this line of Thompson.

I beleive that I am connected to this line thru the Thompson family of Surry County, NC.
I have joined the project and submitted my pedigree and am awaiting the test kit.? My hope is to prove or disprove and find other family members.
