We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for this Surname.   Our Surname Project is primarily interested in your Paternal line, as surnames are passed down from father to son, just as the yDNA is passed down.

If you ARE A MEMBER of this Surname Project at Family Tree DNA, send your pedigree by email to WorldFamilies.net at mari@worldfamilies.net.  The pedigree will then be posted on the Surname Project's Patriarchs Page by Worldfamilies.net or sent to the Project’s Administrator.

Please include the following:
•       Name of project
•       Kit Number
•       Name of person posting pedigree
•       Email address to be posted with pedigree
•       Name, birthdate, birthplace, spouse of Earliest Known Ancestor
•       List each succeeding generation, using only those four items of information (or substitute another item of information if missing an item)

(If you have more information you would like to share, you may also post a more extended version of your family pedigree on the project website’s Pedigree Forum below)

If you are NOT A MEMBER of this Surname Project at Family Tree DNA, you are welcome to post your pedigree on the Pedigree Forum below.  We hope an interested researcher will see it and contact you to share information.

Hi, linda61.

The information you provided has been added to the Easley patriarch page: http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/easley/pats

I hope that someone recognizes your line and can help you move past your brick wall!

William Easley, b. 1774; m. 1799, Greenville Co., SC, Sarah/Sally Graham
Edward Easley, b. 1810, m. Boone Co., MO, Ann Fortney
John William Easley, b. 1841.  m. Boone Co., MO, George Ann Mace
Edward Everett Easley, b. 1863.  m. Boone Co., MO. Martha Catherine Cheavens
William Henry Easley, b. 1899.  m. Alexandria, VA, Margaret Jongebloed

We have done DNA testing on my brother via Oxford Ancestors, to 15 places, and can provide the information.  The conclusion on the data returned to us was that the y-chromosome line was of Celtic origin, and from a group prevalent in Ireland and northern and western Britain.

I do not have 100% certain documentation on the ancestry of the William Easley born in 1774.  His likely lineage is:

Robert Easley, d. 1711, Henrico Co., VA.  m. Ann Parker
     John Easley, m. Mary Benskin
John Easley, Jr.  m. Joyce Allen
John Easley (d. in the American Revolution), m. Ann Gowen.

Hello All, I'm one of the lost Easley branches from Northern Mississippi nobody knows what to do with.  It all started with J.R. Easley, who mysteriously appears around 1830 in Northern Mississippi, but I have no idea where he came from, its a big mystery.  Hoping DNA testing and Easley forums can connect the branch to the tree.  Thanks!

James Robert Easley, b. abt1827, Northern Mississippi, USA, Mahala Caroline Butler

Edwin Armstrong Easley, b. 30 Apr 1856, Jefferson, Marion, Texas, USA, Gertrude Faulkner Allen

Thomas Henry Easley, b. 22 May 1904, Shreveport, Caddo, Louisiana, USA, Carrie Alma LeVasseur

Robert Henry Easley, b. 6 Aug 1925, Shreveport, Caddo, Louisiana, USA, Arlette Clarice Treadaway

Robert Thomas Easley, b. 15 Dec 1947, Texas City, Concho, Texas, USA, Becky Ruth Passmore

Brian Joseph Easley, b. 23 Feb 1981, San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA

Of course I have no idea, but my y-dna I imported over to FTDNA from NatGeo says R1b1a2a1a1b4, and it looks like a few of the other Easley entries on the y-dna page have the same one, so is that somewhat conclusive to link us together?  I don't know, just nice to finally have some Easley resources to explore! Everybody take care!

For example, I'd very much like to meet CEasley, in the y-DNA possible lineage section on the y-dna page, who has the exact same R1b1a2a1a1b4 y-DNA workup as I do.  If CEasley is in a different Easley branch than I am, I think that would be the icing on the cake as far as connecting my branch.  Hope to hear from you!  I don't know any other Easley's aside from those in my direct branch.  This could be a huge development for me!
