We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for this Surname.   Our Surname Project is primarily interested in your Paternal line, as surnames are passed down from father to son, just as the yDNA is passed down.

If you ARE A MEMBER of this Surname Project at Family Tree DNA, send your pedigree by email to WorldFamilies.net at mari@worldfamilies.net.  The pedigree will then be posted on the Surname Project's Patriarchs Page by Worldfamilies.net or sent to the Project’s Administrator.

Please include the following:
•       Name of project
•       Kit Number
•       Name of person posting pedigree
•       Email address to be posted with pedigree
•       Name, birthdate, birthplace, spouse of Earliest Known Ancestor
•       List each succeeding generation, using only those four items of information (or substitute another item of information if missing an item)

(If you have more information you would like to share, you may also post a more extended version of your family pedigree on the project website’s Pedigree Forum below)

If you are NOT A MEMBER of this Surname Project at Family Tree DNA, you are welcome to post your pedigree on the Pedigree Forum below.  We hope an interested researcher will see it and contact you to share information.

Personal Pedigree-Jeff Steen (jmskmt59@yahoo.com)

Jefferson Michael Steen, b 23 Dec 1959, Burlington, NC
Asa Jay Steen, b 4 July 1935, Iowa
                   Jack Homer Steen, b 8 June 1896,d 1960, m Trula Mosier Shoemaker 1933, Iowa
Pete Fred Steen b? Norway?  m Kathrine Lorenz b? d?

It's not much, but after my grandfather it's all a mystery.  Not entirely certain of his birth date.  Lot's of mystery around him and his life.  I know I put in some of the info you said not to, but I have so little info I thought it might be worthwhile.  Feel free to leave it off if you like.

7/29/10-I got a tiny bit more information from a copy of my grandfather's social security card application  and updated the above (just his dad's middle name and mother's last name).  It's a start...

Thanks, Carrie!  I noticed that my 37-67 results aren't up yet.  Do I need to do something to get them loaded or do you do that?  Also, my Haplogroup results are back and are R1a1 (Y DNA) HV*(MtDNA), but you're showing "I".  Thanks!
