Courser Y-DNA result

Hello all,
Since the Castle DNA project at FTDNA includes the surname Courser, I wanted to report the Y-DNA results of a Courser participant in the Corson DNA project.  He joined because documentary evidence suggested that he descended from Benjamin Fletcher Corsse (1692-1770), son of a Corson progenitor named Jan Corszen (ca. 1649-1703).  His 43-marker haplotype matched exactly the ancestral haplotype determined for Jan Corszen.  His estimated haplogroup is I1a.  You can see the his haplotype and lineage (under participant #19) at the Corson DNA project website: http://www.geocities.com/misccorson/dna/.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend posting your family tree on our pedigree forum.  All pedigrees posted on that page will be transfered to the official surname project website, so that other researchers may find you and contact you.  There are directions on what to do at that page:
