Hi, I'm T1 -- motifs 126C, 163G, 189C, 294T, and 519C Jette ENGLUND from Denmark. My testing was done by National Geographic/Genographic Project a few weeks ago, and I am now the proud carrier of a HG-T pin I ordered from someone in Emmaus, Pa.

I don't know much about my family background, except to say that my maternal grandparents were Danish and my paternal grandparents were Swedish. My father told me his parents had emigrated from Sweden to Denmark during the famine in the late 1800s.

I have been very puzzled by the fact that my paternal uncles and one now deceased brother all had jetblack, wavy hair and olive skin. Some had brown eyes, others blue, as contrary to other siblings and family members' blond-light brown straight hair. I have brown, slightly curly hair and green eyes.

Getting my mtDNA tested solved some of the mystery as to my heritage, but far from answering all my questions.

Are there others out there from Denmark/Sweden with the same T1 motifs and who bear the last name ENGLUND?
