Hi, Steven. I'm not a Barfield, but am looking for Barfields who were in Bladen, Robeson and Richmond Counties, NC in the 1700 and 1800's near my husband's Browns. My husband's DNA traces back to Thomas Brown b abt 1716 and his sons Edmund b 1743 and Thomas b abt 1745. There is an Edmon Brown married to Appy Barfield 1816 Robeson Co and Cliffered Brown m Nancy Barfiled.

Any of these sound like yours?

Hello,

My mother was a Barfield. A few months ago, I got my Barfield uncle to take the 12-marker test and I just looked here and saw a 10/12 marker match with someone. At least there may be small chance of a connection. How can I get in touch with that person? Here's my (known) Barfield ancestry down to my grandfather:

   Charles Aquilla Barfield (b. 1858 d. 1937)
       Arthur Monroe Barfield (b. 1885  d. 1964)

Dear Stephen,

It would help the project, as well as yourself, if you would post your pedigree, or at least as much as you know of it.

And have your joined www.ysearch.org?  There your marker results are compared with samples taken world-wide from several labs, not just FTDNA.

If you submit your results to this very helpful site, would you please share your project code number on the BARFIELD board?
