I see that Helen needs to adjust a birth date for the father JOhn HOFFMAN / HUFFMAN.

Many years of research done on this huge family.

I have  proven John father of John, George and Henry. I suspect two other male Huffmans as siblings.
WE also know but only have two forms of proof for John's father to be John named also.
My direct is John 1720's or before 
son Henry b 1745ish in MD according to tax, census records dies Dec 1811?probated will Jan 1812 Greene Co PA spouse 1 Mary Prather or Provator
 m 1780's early dvcd by 1789 ( 1 girl ?), leaves Greene Co PA goes back to Berkeley Co VA. later joins with Catrouch FRY in first child born 1792 in VA ( five more born in Va before he returns to Greene Co PA for son Joseph's birth 1801.   Rev War Vet.
son Henry b1803  Greene Co PA m Elizabeth HIGGINS  both buried Windy Gap Cemetery Aleppo, Greene Co PA
son Sanford  Greene Co PA  marries Rachel PLANTS/Z  Greene Co PA dau of George Plants dies in IOWA served in CW
son Franklin  Greene Co PA  marries Abigail Elizabeth DUVALL  b Greene Co PA dies in Wheatland, WYO
son Cecil  Iowa, dies Wheatland, Wyo, m Inez SCOTT, my Grandfather.
 I have to find John's Will to get his b d data again. Some where in our files because I did not add the data to webpage.  The Hoffman name was brought back alive in 1860's by Henry Huffman -- Hoffman due to mail and learning the proper spelling by him. Have in letter he wrote to my ancestor in IOWA.  Sanford. Much of research done before computer.         SusiCP@cox.net or SusiCP@aol.com

Is there any connections to the Hoffman family in New York state (upstate, troy area)?
