James M. Bean b about 1787 in Virginia.  He was married several times, once was to Elmira Carson.  They married Aug 25 1862 in Mendocino Co. CA. 
Children of James:  James, Stephen, Margaret, David Richard, Amos, Charles Luther,and Meredith.
David and Amos came to Texas with their father prior to 1880. 
They lived in Jones County, Runnels County, and Eastland County, Texas.
David died 12 Apr 1891 in Jones Co, TX, Amos died 4 April 1925 in Eastland Co. TX, Charles died 10 August 1931 in CA.
Amos married Mary Jones McFarland 15 Mar 1888.  Their children were Amos Luther Bean and Eulalia Roberta Bean.
Amos Luther married Ina Jean Currie 18 Dec 1913 in Runnels County TX. Their Children were Joe Currie Bean and Luther L. Bean.
