I've been searching everywhere on the net to find the parents of James Madison, Sr. and Hollie Virginia "Jane" Swearingen. I have yet to find definitive proof of either. Some think Aaron Bean is James' father since they lived near each other in TN but have found nothing on what happened to Aaron once James took his family to AL. Jane is basically the same story. They have her father listed as Mathias since there was one in TN near their home. But then again no Mathias shows up in NC where she was born. There seems to be a big gap where both are concerned. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a direct descendant of Allen Young Bean and yes, he did lose a leg in the Civil War. And Anderson Kelly Bean's name is listed in the Andersonville Prison records. All the boys survived the war which is a miracle itself.
