As you can see in the Y-Results my DNA is a close match with many of the Dickey's in this project. My 6th great grandfather came to PA in 1746 from Ireland. I have no record of his birth or his parents. However based on our DNA results we have a connection into some Dickey families within about 10 generations or 500 years.
I'm looking for assistance in helping determine where my Nicholas may have been born or other family connections.
I was just talking to a historian in Dandridge TN. where Nicholas Hays died. I was looking for his membership in the Presbyterian Church.
Listed with the Hays family members was a James Dickey. The historian said by the way they were listed, they most likely were neighbors.
Do you know of a James Dickey in the early 1800's that is part of your ancestry?
