We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for the Fournier Family Project Patriarch page. (You don’t have to be a test participant to post your family pedigree.)

There are two ways to make your pedigree available to the project administrator for posting on the Patriarch Page:
1.  Send the pedigree by email directly to carrie@worldfamilies.net in the simplified form described below  (If you send it this way, your pedigree will only be posted on the Patriarch Page, and will not be included in the Pedigree Forum)
Be sure to include

                 E
mail address you wish to be posted with the pedigree
Kit number of the project participant whose pedigree this is
                 N
ame, birthdate, birthplace, spouse for each generation (direct  male line).

2.  Log-in to post your pedigree on the Pedigree Forum.  By posting your pedigree on the forum, you are making it available for the Project Administrator to post it on the Patriarch Page, along with your contact information, and kit number (or code identity number).

  1. You must be logged in to post on this forum.
How do I register to post a pedigree?
I've already registered. How do I log in?

  2.  Please include your Kit number or Code Identity number if you have been tested for the project.

  3. Please read the following instructions, then scroll down to the last posting on this forum and click "reply" in order to post your pedigree.

  4. The pedigree for a Surname Project follows your paternal line.  Please post only the information for each generation:

Full Name of Earliest Known Male Ancestor for this Surname
His birthdate
Birthplace
Spouse’s name

(If you are missing any piece of this information, post another bit of identifying information)

Suggestions for Posting your Pedigree on this forum:

o        Post four pieces of information for each ancestor

o        Begin with the earliest generation

o        Use standard abbreviations:  m=married, b=born, d=died, c=circa, Co=county, VA=Virginia, GA=Georgia, etc

o        Try to keep to one line per generation

o        Include only generations that have this family surname

o        Provide your name and email address as the pedigree provider

o        Provide the kit number and/or project code identity number if pedigree is for a tested participant

o        Use surname with each generation

o        Don’t use all caps

o        Don’t include anyone whose birthdate is after 1910, for privacy concerns.

o        Don’t number the generations

Scroll down to the last posting on this forum and click "reply". Post your pedigree in the box provided, and click "Post".

If you do not see a"reply" tab, it means you have lost your log in and will need to log in again in order to post. Go back to the project home page, log in again, and return to the pedigree forum. Login should hold the second time.

Janice, We don't post birthdates after about 1910 on the Patriarch page, for privacy sake.  If you have earlier ancestors or birthdates, please let us know and we'll be happy to post them.  Good luck in your research.

We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for the Fournier Family Project Patriarch page.  (You don’t have to be a test participant to post your family pedigree.) We encourage everyone who tests to also post his pedigree, even if you don't have very much information,so that participants can compare pedigrees as well as test results.  Some interested researcher may see it and contact you.

You must be logged in to post on the forum.
How do I register to post a pedigree?
I've already registered.  How do I log in?
http://www.worldfamilies.net/postpedigree/#re-register

By posting your pedigree on the forum, you are making it available for the Project Administrator to
1. Post it on the project's Patriarch Page, where he/she will arrange the pedigrees chronologically, linking families whenever possible.
2. Post your contact information if you choose to make it available (with the @ changed to AT to discourage spammers.
3. Post your Code Identity Number for the Project (if you have been tested) with your pedigree on the Patriarch Page, to facilitate correlating test results and pedigrees . (Please post it with your pedigree to make sure your Project Administrator is able to include it in the posting.)
4. Link your pedigree on the Patriarch Page back to your complete posting on the Pedigree Forum.

Suggestions for Posting your Pedigree:
We use a "stripped-down" version of the pedigree for surname yDNA projects, as the interest is in finding the direct line of males back to the earliest known ancestor for each project participant.  Generally, four pieces of information are sufficient to recognize an ancestor (his name, birth date, birth place and wife’s name).
Please :
1. Do Post four pieces of information for each ancestor: Name, birth date, birth place, spouse.  [Missing any of the above? Add other identifying information.]
2. Do Begin with the earliest generation
3. Do Use standard abbreviations (m=married, b=birth date, d=death date, c1930=   circa (around) 1930, Co = County, VA =  Virginia [GA for Georgia, CA for California, etc.])
4. Do Keep to one line per generation.
5. Do Include only generations that have this family surname
6. Do Provide your name and email address (you may have done this when you registered to post)
7. Do Provide your code identity if you have one for the project. 8. Do Be consistent.  Either use the surname for each generation of your pedigree, or omit it for all.

Please
1. Do Not Put the surname first
2. Do Not Use all caps for the surname
3. Do Not List anyone whose birthdate is after 1910 (for privacy concerns)
4. Do Not Use numbers for the generations
5. Do Not Try to "format" your posting, as that only makes it more difficult for the Project Administrator to paste it onto the Patriarch Page.

You can choose to post your pedigree in one of two forms
for the Pedigree Forum, EITHER:
1. The PERSONAL ANCESTRY pedigree shows only the male who is your direct ancestor in each generation (no siblings are shown)
Example of a Personal Ancestry pedigree as it would be posted on the Pedigree Forum:
Pedigree for Terry Barton [terry AT bartonsite.org] B-66
Thomas, purchased land, Stafford Co VA, 1678
Thomas, b c1666, m Grace Thomas, d 1751/2, Prince William Co VA
David, b c1730, Stafford Co VA, m Ruth Oldham
Thomas, b 15 May 1768, Fauquier Co VA, m Sarah Kees
Conway Oldham, b 20 Aug 1805, prob Greenville Dist SC, m Martha John Cox
John Matilda, b 1839/40, ?Columbus? MS, m Emily Cassandra Sneed
Joseph James, b 6 Nov 1865, Milam Co TX m Mary Jane Harlan
John (Jack) Sneed, b 24 Feb 1897, Bartonsite TX, m Josephine Cresap Waddell

2.  The FAMILY ANCESTRY pedigree shows the male who is your direct ancestor in each generation, but also includes siblings.
Example of a Family Ancestry pedigree as it would be posted on the Pedigree Forum (Note how indents are used to show generations.  Siblings are directly under each other.)
Pedigree for Terry Barton [terry AT bartonsite.org] B-66
Thomas Barton, purchased land, Stafford Co VA, 1678
   Thomas Barton, b c1666,  m Grace
