We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for the Hester Family Project Patriarch page. (You don’t have to be a test participant to post your family pedigree.)  

There are two ways to make your pedigree available to the project administrator for posting on the Patriarch Page:
1.  Send the pedigree by email directly to carrie@worldfamilies.net in the simplified form described below  (If you send it this way, your pedigree will only be posted on the Patriarch Page, and will not be included in the Pedigree Forum)
Be sure to include  
                 Email address you wish to be posted with the pedigree
                 Kit number of the project participant whose pedigree this is
                 Name, birthdate, birthplace, spouse for each generation (direct  male line).

2.  Log-in to post your pedigree on the Pedigree Forum.  By posting your pedigree on the forum, you are making it available for the Project Administrator to post it on the Patriarch Page, along with your contact information, and kit number (or code identity number).

3. Please read the following instructions, then scroll down to the last posting on this forum and click "reply" in order to post your pedigree.


4. The pedigree for a Surname Project follows your paternal line.  Please post only the information for each generation:

Birthplace
Spouse’s name

(If you are missing any piece of this information, post another bit of identifying information) 

Suggestions for Posting your Pedigree on this forum:

o        Post four pieces of information for each ancestor

o        Begin with the earliest generation

o        Use standard abbreviations:  m=married, b=born, d=died, c=circa, Co=county, VA=Virginia, GA=Georgia, etc

o        Try to keep to one line per generation

o        Include only generations that have this family surname

o        Provide your name and email address as the pedigree provider

o        Provide the kit number and/or project code identity number if pedigree is for a tested participant

o        Use surname with each generation

o        Don’t use all caps

o        Don’t include anyone whose birthdate is after 1910, for privacy concerns.

o        Don’t number the generations

                             Jasper Hester Jr- born March 3 1785 in Bladen county. He married Keziah Singletary. She was born in 1784 in Bladen county and died 1872 in Bladen county, NC. Jasper died January 5th 1854 in Bladen county, NC
                                 David Hester- born 1808 in Bladen county. He married Mary Edith Brisson born May 1811, they were married in 1830's and she died in 1840's. He also married Rachael Pait born in 1823 in died in late 1830's. David died in 1896 in Bladen county, NC

                                           Lonnie Hester-born 1879 in Bladen county. He married Delphia Jane (surname unknown). She was born Dec 26th 1884 in Bladen county and died June 3rd 1925 in Cumberland county. Lonnie died in 1955 in Cumberland county.
                                               Charlie Edison Hester-born  Nov 14, 1901. He married Lillian Maude Champion. She was born Oct 29th, 1901 in Bladen county. She died Aug 7 1996. Charlie died a few month following Lillian.
                                                    Mary Louise Hester-born June 26th 1924 in Cumberland county. She married John Henry Barfield Oct 13th 1940. She died Oct 14th 1981 in Cumberland county, NC
                                                         Don Jay Barfield Sr- born Feb 23 1946 Married Linda Stewart March 29th 1968. They had two children Don Jr and Ronnie. He died April 2007 in Cumberland county, NC.
                                                              Don Jay Barfield Jr.- born in 1969, still alive an well. He has four children: Dennis, Tyler, KaChina, and Hastin. He has been married since 1997 to Teresa Evans.
