    Hello, I actually just found this site today. I have not had any DNA testing done to prove it and have become stuck in researching the Mcclure line.
    I'm a descendant of James Mcclure (b.1746-d.1821) who married Martha Chalfant (1752-1833). They had William pleasant Mcclure (1791-1858 who married Martha ann Dehaven? (1796-1870). This couple had Jesse Stoball Mcclure(1836-1909) married to Mary jane winifred Martin(1838-1902) who in turn had Kate Bobitt Mcclure(1881-1966) who married Austin Beene(1875-?). He was my great grandfather on my mom's paternal side.
    If anyone has any further info or that could help me in my search it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I did some checking on your line and we don't have anything on that although as a McClure researcher myself, some of what you posted looked familiar. If you could provide more info such as locations and siblings this might help. We have almost 100 folks in the DNA project, and even if I don't know, perhaps others will recognize names and locations.

If you wish to know more about the DNA project I can answer any questions you might have. I am a volunteer and fellow McClure, so I am not trying to sell you a DNA test. I have McClures on both sides of my mum's family. Her father was a McClure of Kilmoyangee, Kilraghts, Co.Antrim.and her maternal grandmother was a McClure, of Magherabuoy, Kilraghts
I believe my g,g,grandfather was John McClure(born prior to 1839) of Lisboy whose wife was Jane Maitland, of Knockinavery. Married 3rd February, 1860.
They had a son James,who married Jane Patteson of Drumabest and they had 5 of a family, William who married Martha Hall, who in turn had 4 sons Fred, Cecil, Bert, and Jack; ; Annie,  Robert John who married Mary Morton of  Carnageragh and they had 7 of a family Robert b.1918, James b.1917, Jane b.1915, Annie (Nan) b 1922, William (Bill) b. 1920, Samuel b.1925 and Mary b.1923. Samuel m. Isabella Dorothea Montgomery Boyd,of Benvarden Their family were Pearl, Bert, Frank, and Jean  and finally  there was James .  McClures of Blackhills were regarded as "friends"I have futher details of descendants,etc.  Jennifer
