Sam Vass has posted this on RootsWeb:
"Gross measurements of R1b1a2 dataset in Genographic 2.0 possibly useful for estimating dating SNP occurrence date.

Thanks to Itai Perez and Vince Tilroe for data accumulation-

    Tested locations 12316

R1b-P297, all first 32 R1b1a2 in Perez spreadsheet share positive SNPs 341

    (Includes SNPs L23, L150, L51, P310, L151, P311, L52)

    Above R1b-P297 shared w V88 (CTS3063, CTS4244, & YSC0000224) 3

    Shared with both V88 and Raza (an R1b1*? M415+ and L276+ [L278]) 270

V88 group of 3 Kasdin, Alvarez, and Vass unique SNPs 23

    Raza (R1b* or R1b1*) M415 & L278 unique SNPs (F2482, F3599, & Z486) 3

R1b-P297 (first 32 R1b1a2 in Perez spreadsheet) unique SNPs 68

    Sam Vass, R1b1-V88"

Probably useless for the calculation but interesting for the phylogeny.
What about the common origin of Jewish R-V88 from Iberia (and not the other way around) I am saying to the friend Sam from when I wrote on RootsWeb, i.e. before 2008 (I was banned at the end of 2007)?

Has it any meaning that the 23 SNPs in common of the R-V88+ (two Jews and an Iberian) come from the Sardinian stock signed PF (Paolo Francalacci)?:

Perhaps it would be useful to test Marchesi for Geno 2.0. He has been tested R-M269 by FTDNA, but I think having demonstrated he is R-V88+, and he would be the first Italian found, even though, for R-M18 present in Sardinia, I claimed from many years the origin also of R-V88+ in the Italian Refugium.

I asked Sam Vass to test Raza for P25, not being this SNP in the Geno 2.0. He didn't reply to me, but he has been so generous now to post this letter and to send me his spreadsheet. From these data we may presuppose that Raza is negative for P25. Then we have:
Till M343/M415/P278  we have Raza (1) /V88+ (2a) /L389+ (2b)
After the separation:
1) Raza has had F2482, F3599, Z486
2) CTS3063, CTS4244, YSC224 bring to P25 in common between V88+ line and L389+ line
2a) After P25, V88+ and these 23 PF SNPs
2b) After P25, L388/L389+ is the line of R1b1* and subclades: P297, M335
Why a calculation of the age by these SNPs cannot be made?
Because (1) after the separation has had 3 SNPs,(2) 3 SNPs plus P25, (2a) 23 PF SNPs plus V88, (2b) 68 SNPs or more till L11.
Of course this is due to the fact that not all the Y is tested and also to the fact that these populations had a different increment. More meioses more SNPs. No calculation.
