In " The Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) Haplogroup H & HV Project- Background" we read:
"mtDNA Haplogroups H and HV are Eurasian Haplogroups which likely arose in between West Asia and Central Asia. Branches of H and HV migrated into Europe where H became the dominant maternal lineage while HV remained a much smaller population. H is believed to make up 40-50% of the mtDNA lineages in Western Europe. Much of the research of Human mtDNA only compares mutations in the HVR1 and HVR2 control regions, a smaller but more rapidly changing portion of the mtDNA molecule, which provides a false feeling of sameness to the members of the many subgroups, or clades".
Behar 2012b has a new subclade, that with the mutation "T152C!", which comprehends H9, H32, H46, H52 and H69. These are the mutations in common with hg. H:

The unique haplotype that seems to bring us to Asia is the H9* from India:

This is the  /clone="3768"/ and should be at the origin of this subclade. Which is its origin? It isn't said, but anyway all those who match its mutations in HVRI and II are of European descent, from Switzerland to Germany to the Isles, i.e. the road from the Italian Refugium.
And, seen the diffusion of the back mutation in 152C, it is hard to put this mutation at the origin of this subclade. The Indian sample is put here for its mutation in T13020C, which is actually very rare, only 3 times in Behar 2012b, but it lacks T16519C possessed by all the subclades and has the mutations in T146C, in 309.1C, in T10166C, in T16256T.
The link amongst these haplotypes then may be real, even though very ancient, but, as in many other occasions, we should ascertain the direction.
