Hi,
Am looking for information on Louisa Anderson who arrived in USA in June 1881. She came from Uppsala, Sweden. Louisa married John Oscar Harlin from Stockholm, Sweden. Year not known and city not known.
They had the following children: Christina Lillian Desederia (born May 23, 1888) most likely NY. Oscar John Helen Am seeking ship of arrival; other siblings; parents;
Louisa Anderson worked for the King of Sweden before coming to America. She was a children's maid and or linen maid.
Her grandmother or mother may have been born in France. The man that married Louisa's grandmother was a dragoon in the King of Sweden's army and was assigned duty in Revolutionary France. When King Louie XVI could not pay his troops he told them that by the law of France at that time they could take anything from France that they wanted. So Louisa's grandfather took a woman from the Palace to be his wife. I am looking for these people as they are most likely my family members. She could have been a Clary, or Bernadotte, or Bonaparte. It is possible that she might not have been from any of those families, but non the less, her grand daughter Louisa worked in the Swedish Palace about 1800-1880. She might have been Danish. I have autosomal dna test results for both myself and my first cousin on my paternal line side. My families Y dna shows matches with European Kings and Queens, & Earls. Please contact me if you could direct me toward finding my missing family link. Regards, LindaLea5
