Question about U152+L2+Z49+ but L196- and L20- on the 2012 isogg.org tree

Question for the R1b gurus.

I do not understand how I could have tested Z49+ if I already tested L20- and L196-.  On the ISOGG tree Z49 falls below both L196 and L20 and I tested negative for both of those.  Is there a mistake in the tree or is everyone just trying to figure where Z49 should be placed?

Curtis, I think you are misreading the tree. If you trace an imaginary line to connect the dots below L2, you will see that S255/Z367, L196 and Z49 are parallel to each other. You can find a better view of the tree in this document:

Ok, that makes a lot more sense! 

Under L2 we have

Z367 (L20 under that)
Z49(others under that)
L196
L408(others under that)
