Hi

I am new here, and my question is - Can one be designated a MtDna ( in my case H2 as per project team ) and have 90% of exact matches with H1, H3 and H7 haplotypes?

It seems silly to contact someone and say you are an exact match and I am H2 and they are H1

At which level have you been tested? Only HVRI and II? Haplogroup H, being the reference one, gets a few mutations. Anyway H2 has nothing to do with H1 or other H-s except that they descend all from H*. Send me your results, and I’ll be able to say you more.

There is also an H2b amongst the 105 Tuscans in the 1KGP (NA20585) where it is clear that the European H2b-s are the original and the most ancient:

I did only the HVR1 and HVR2 test.

my only mutations are
16519C, 263G and 315.1c

My exact matches search includes only HVR1 and HVR2 combined and they are:
104 x h
93 x h1
10 x h10
3 x h13a
6 x h16
7 x h18
4 x h19
51 x h1e
5 x h2a
37 x h3
43 x h7

FTDNA says exact matches by people who have done FMS are also included because it matches something they show with something hidden from you.
Everyone says I am H2 ? including Jlick tests

Is there other data you need , like differences

Your data are demonstrating that with these HVRI/II your haplotype could be one of these H-s (or perhaps some other else). Unfortunately without an FGS (FMS) you won't be able to be certain. I don't understand why you should be H2a, which isn't the more diffused in Italy amongst these ones. Certainly you aren't H2b.
