1 K2a8 (NA20756)

K2a8 (with an age in Behar 2012b of 1513.5 +/- 2173.3) has been based above all on the data of Just 2008 (DQ282493-DQ282504) found in Hispanics and JQ705029 found in Spain. The idea that its origin has been in Iberia is the first thinking: mutations in 207A, 16189C!, deletions and insertions from 16182 to 16193. Of course Hispanics and the Spaniard belong to the same haplotype.

and other (probably) K2a8 in Mitosearch (GFY5V: McNeely) and in SMGF (Galvan Cuello, Mexico, and Hiatt, USA Indiana) with the mutations in HVRI,II: 16224C 16311C 16519C 73G 146C 152C 207A 263G 315.1C) make us think all the question.

Id est the Spaniards could be derived from a K2a8 which is found in its most ancient form from Italy to the Isles, and like other haplogroups could come from the Italian Refugium and its age to be much older.
