Interesting, I've just had a quick read through. I was particulalrly intrigued by this suggestion:

Though it is fashionable for scholars to ignore it, a non-Indo-European language does seem to be visible in the inscriptions of Pictland, which have never convincingly been interpreted as Celtic.

Just goes to show there is never such a thing as total consensus in academia.

Avalon,the Pictish language part was my only gripe with it;otherwise it was a good article,IMHO!
