An interesting note: I settled in Groveland, NY 20+ years ago, not really knowing anyone. I have been surprised at the number of surnames common to this town and nearby towns that appear on the Ards website. I know of Moore's, Adair's, Coffey's and Love's that all live in the area and have for many generations.

Thanks to the hard work of Lena and cousins David in Cumbria and Keith in NSW; I believe we have finally identified the town of origins of my Keenan clan. By reviewing the 1902 UK census, it was identified that William, son of John Keenan; b. abt. 1812, IRL was born in Greyabbey. John was the brother of my ggg grandfather, Felix Keenan;b. 1814, IRL.
We have long believed that the Ards Penninsula was the source, this with my gg grandfather, John Keenan's baptism in Kircubbin in 1835 clearly ties this line to that area.
