Hello All,
The results I've seen for DF27- show British Isles links. Of those, a few have tested for DF19 & are negative for it.
Some of the surnames of people who are DF27- & DF19- are typically Welsh: Jones & Williams. Another is Scottish, MacFarlane.
I've tested for DF27 & am negative, so will probably opt for a DF19 test, too. My surname is via the Anglo-Scottish border.
The names I've mentioned all potentially fall into typical Brythonic Celt territory. I appreciate this is miniscule data to draw any conclusions from, but it would be interesting to see if future DF27- & DF19- results follow that pattern.
I suppose the danger is that British & N American tests dominate, thus skewing results.
Cheers,
Bob

Might it be worth ordering L238? This is also under P312, from what I recall there seems to be quite abit of it in Scandinavia. Given history of connections between North-East England/South-East Scotland and Scandinavia ye never know!

It's on the ISOGG tree been parallel to DF27, DF19, U152, L21

I've just ordered DF19, so will be able to see what my surname comes out as. I'm told that there is a Swanson of Scandinavian origin who is DF27-, DF19- & L238+. I think I need a lottery win & do the whole lot!
Cheers,

Very interesting. I do hope that DF27- DF19- L238- are in Tuscany or Italy, as I think.

Williams, Jones & MacFarlane appear to be L238- . L238+, as I was told in an earlier post, seems to be Scandinavian.
Interesting!

I gather that one of our core Armstrongs has tested EthnoAncestry's equivalent to L238 & was negative.
