R1b1a2a1a1a4a1a all boils down to R-L46.  What's that mean?? Do you ever wonder if during your research you attached yourself to the wrong Jolly family? All this time you have connected with and researched a line only to find out you got it wrong at some point and made a left turn in Albuquerque?? That's what I fear but it all seems so right :)

Thank you Arwunbee..... But what does it mean? My ancestor came from England and these people with last names that aren't mine are still related somewhere back 30 generation? I would just like to find a Jolly surname match somewhere.

Arwunbee's  link is to an R-L44+ distribution.  The L46+ distribution would be a subset of that.

My map shows your cousins who are all descended on the paternal line from just one man who lived roughly 2000 years ago.  Some of these cousins are more closely related to you than others.  Ideally a Jolly will come along and test and be very closely related to you, if this hasn't already happened.  There are no men in the Jolly project who don't match you?  The point of the map is to see if there are any patterns emerging from the distribution of people on the map.  I posited that we seem to be descended from the Angles.
