,,,
Build up the fire the next day to get it nice and boiling for a bit, eat some, keep the rest for later under a lid.
Sometimes that "later" turned out to be "days later". After it had gone a bit funny.
Eventually they learned to strain off the solids, and just keep the lovely Falling-Down-Water.

Beer, helping populate europe since 10K BC!

Beer is one of the world's oldest prepared beverages, possibly dating back to the early Neolithic or 9500 BC, when cereal was first farmed,

Maybe, there is some truth to this sign:)

Heber,

You must be a long lost brother as we were thinking the same thing! This was the exact poster I was thinking of when I made my post but I didnt quote it exactly because didnt think all would think it funny as I (and you, I see) did. I would buy to hang behind my basement but not sure if my wife like it.

Would Cider be older than beer in the west. A woven basket full of apples left a wee bit too long with something else present and something drips out the bottom. I don't know much about alcohol pruduction, I tend towards the post sales side of the industry. a wee bit.

LOL!

I need an orchard of those in my backyard.

Too bad the first frost would probably wipe them out.

Maybe I should start building a greenhouse?

In my youth, someone who woke up next to a gal who wasn't quite as pleasing on the eye as he thought the previous night was said to have been a victim of wearing 'beer goggles' !
Cheers,
Bob
