I am new here and am just learning about DNA testing, all I have right now is a paper trail.  From what I have found I decend from Martin Gibson, born 1704, Ireland.  If anyone has information on this line could you please let me know.  I would love to talk with you and compare trees to see that I have the right info before I begin any testing.  If I can find out more I will pay to have my brother tested.  Also how do you test through you grandmother's  on your father's side is there a way to do this?

I just got my uncles results (Kit Number 150360) for the first 25 markers (waiting for full 37).  We don't know much about his father's family, hence the reason for getting the DNA done.  I am afraid the results leave us with more questions since with my limited knowledge I don't see any Gibson matches.  This is all we know.
