With friend Samuel McVeigh, a 21-year-old single carpenter from Portavogie, the son of James McVeigh of Portavogie, he was bound for KANSAS CITY. They were accompanied by Robert Keag, a 19-year-old single laborer from Rubane, the son of Adam Keag of Rubane, Kircubbin, who was bound for Chicago.
